All's Fair In Vietnam (Asean) where tell about, the girls who had arrived in Vietnam. She aim of becoming an English Teacher. She realized that she needed some more formal attire which to maintain by respectability. The girls go to Ben Thant market. At the market, she ask the sales girls about the Khalis costs. The salesgirls said to she "forget that" "Tell me, how much for your skin" she was shocked and blushed when the salesgirl ask the question like that. in the Vietnam, this curious genetic discrepancy became a source of admiration for the local. Other than that, sunscreen in Vietnam also is expensive, most Vietnamese girls solve the problem of protecting themselves from UV rays by wearing an assortment of coverings, including hats, gloves and face masks. They look like a motorbike-driving, cell phone-chatting ninjas.
on the sand of Vung Tau local tourists dressed most like going to office than the beach. She saw among the thousands people, one woman in a two-peace bathing suit. Vietnamese girls go to spas for whitening. she would see woman who had slathered themselves a bit too. Liberally with these produce and the result was always lamentable for the end of the story, she had learn to not take it too seriously about the beauty, because for she the beauty for everyone is not same. Everyone had got own definition about beauty.

in my opinion, the topic that has been discussed in this short story is about the Vietnamese girls that almost care about their skin and beauty. Vietnamese girls will spent her time and money to make sure they will become beauty and got a whiting skin.

yes, because the writer always take a good care for she skin. she always use the sunblock to protect their skin from sunburn. she be a blushed when people always praise about her skin. for me, the writer was girls so every girls always want ad enjoy a write complexion.

what do you understand from the phrase "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" ?
for me, everyone had their own ideas of different means of beauty. beauty depends on who is doing looking. what one person definition about beauty is will always be different from someone else's definition. basically, saying that one person might think a person is beautiful but another may not beauty does not always lie in looks for some people.
